Nikki Granat, 14, Sings Again To Help Dogs And Performs At Madison Square Garden

Young New Jersey singer uses her voice to help raise money for animals.

River Vale, NJ (PRWEB) July 23, 2009 — Nikki Granat, of River Vale, New Jersey, will perform at Dog Fest, a fundraiser to help dogs in need. This event for canines and animal lovers will take place on August 23, 2009 at 3:00 PM in Beechwood Park in Hillsdale, NJ.

When she was 12, she gave a solo concert to raise money for the ASPCA. This concert was held at The Oritani Field Club in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Nikki’s fund raising efforts for dogs and cats were featured in Kids Making A Difference For Animals, a book published by John Wiley, Inc..

“I feel bad when I see animals without homes and I want to sing to help them. I want to continue to use my music to raise awareness about the needs of animals and to help them in any way that I can,” says Nikki.

In the past, she has performed with Paul Shaffer from The David Letterman Show and with Ellie Greenwich, the well known song writer. She has also given solo concerts at Blend in
Ridgewood, New Jersey and at Jersey Boys in New Milford, New Jersey.

Nikki has given concerts for senior citizens at the Classic Residence by Hyatt in Teaneck, New Jersey. She recently had the lead role in The Holdrum School’s production Beauty And The Beast. When she was younger she gave several performances at The Roberge School in River Vale, New Jersey and at Karaoke clubs in Florida and in New York City. Nikki has also appeared on The Jonzun Radio Kids
Network.

Bob Suede, the well-known musician, who has collaborated with Richie Havens, called Nikki Granat, “a real prodigy.”

Dog Fest is being sponsored by Open Doors An Amazing Grace Foundation, Shop Rite Supermarkets, First Dog Training Club of Northern New Jersey, Stop And Shop of
Emerson, New Jersey, National Foundation For Animal Rescue, Pet Goods Of Paramus, New Jersey and Westwood Pets Unlimited.
