About E.C. Scott
E.C. Scott is stirring up a blues revolution. Her music is a dynamic mixture of Blues, Soul, R&B, and Funk, with a tinge of Hip-Hop. She defies categorization, preferring to pour out music for the soul. As one of her CD titles, “Let’s Make It Real” suggests, these songs are too large, too real to stick into any one category.

With four albums to her name, Scott has garnered critical acclaim from Stereo Review, Blues Revue, Living Blues, Downbeat and Blues Access. Atlantic Records co-founder Jerry Wexler called her “one honest-to-God soul singer.” Her most recent CD is The Other Side of Me.

In addition to her own music, Scott is passionate about keeping the Blues alive in the 21st Century. She pioneered the first Blues Music Video, “Love Again” with Ronnie Baker Brooks. Scott has produced over 90 episodes of her television program E.C.’s Jook Joint, which airs on over 300 stations nationwide.

A Bay Area native, EC Scott has been honored with multiple Real Blues Awards, West Coat Blues Hall of Fame awards, and the Bay Area Blues Society’s Female Performer of the Year award in addition to nominations for nine WC Handy Awards.
