Musical Alphabet

Introduction
The Musical Alphabet is a thing of wonder and filled with origins dating back probably before recorded history. Today’s modern alphabet is based on the 26 letter English Alphabet though there are a few minor exceptions.

Instead of going from ‘A’ to ‘Z’ it goes from ‘A’ to ‘G’ and repeats itself. Now I know you’re thinking, “Repeats itself? How does that work?” Well, it works pretty well and has for hundreds of years. You see, once you go from ‘A’ to ‘G’ you then start back at ‘A’ and continue: ‘A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D…’

“So does that mean it never ends?” Well, technically no. The notes (pitches) just get too low or too high for the human ear to hear.
